As we have established,an unhealthy gut can lead to a poor immune system, and a poor immune system can lead to chronic inflammation because it is unable to effectively fight off pathogens and remove damaged cells.

If you are a smoker or you consume alcohol, then you are suppressing your immune system.

Alcohol intake and smoking will both have a negative impact on the immune system.

Alcohol can suppress the immune system by reducing the number of white blood cells, which

play a key role in fighting off infection.

Heavy alcohol use can increase the risk of developing certain infections, such as pneumonia.

Smoking can weaken the immune system by reducing the number of white blood cells and

making it more difficult for them to fight off infection.

In addition, research has linked smoking has an increased risk factor for developing certain

types of cancer.

It is important to limit alcohol intake and quit smoking to maintain a healthy immune system and

help your body to function more productively and efficiently for you.
